I'd like to understand why this media scandal and attack on Bastoni for simulation is happening, while when it happened to other teams, it didn't happen.
The simulation I posted above is from the decisive penalty in Milan-Fiorentina 2-1. This isn't an attack on Milan, because there are some for every Serie A club if you want to look for them.
I'd just like to understand why, in one case, the owners, journalists, and politicians had to come forward to attack Bastoni, while in the other, almost no one except Milan's opposing fans did.

  1. Bro I made a post on this when it happened. And the morons in this sub were all ags it. This is just another example

  2. Because Juventus decided to raise their voice against refs and it has caught media attention. If other teams are smart enough they would support that and not stay silent

Then there’s Chiellini, who’s talking about football morals and is the biggest unsportsmanlike figure in Italian football.
Marita did well to remind them of the coolest 2021 simulation of the square that led him to participate in the Champions League, beating Napoli.

  4. it’s part of Italian culture to believe everyone cheats, and therefore you are ledt behind if you do not cheat. Especially in football, where it is not exactly undocumented..

  5. Because he celebrated.

You can be dirty (bend the rules, whatever it takes to win, yada yada), but actively celebrating on the pitch while the other guy is getting wrongly sent off is something else.

No remorse from Bastoni and no shame whatsoever.

Because the situation you have posted is not a simulation, its an exaggeration if anything but never a simulation. Its natural to fall and hold your face when feeling contact to your face and then being dragged by the neck, unlike Bastoni who purely simulates since his reaction is jumping as if he was kicked when all that happened was a slight touch on his arm.

  7. It happens every Sunday, so it’s a common problem. How often does what happened to Bastoni and Kalulu happen? Consider that Italian football is a struggling industry and we’re becoming increasingly aware of the idea that spending money on it should be fair. This is one of the most important matches in the industry. What would you do? I wouldn’t spend a cent on it. It’s worth little, but take it into account. Add to that the historic rivalry, heightened by off-field factors that always involve double standards. Add to that the sympathy or antipathy a young man can inspire when he uses superficial comparisons to blue-collar workers to describe his sacrifices as a young man and a footballer. Add to that the previous cases involving many players who can get away with certain situations when otherwise they would have been given red cards. Add to that those who are interested in fair play and already struggle to see people like Mancini in the national team. There are many reasons, in my opinion, that have allowed this situation to explode in the media. the subsequent statements by the coach and president added fuel to the fire.

  8. There’s a difference between simulation and exaggeration.

Bastoni’s one wasn’t even a foul, let alone a card

  9. This is actually not true; AIA (De Marco) did actually give a statement as to the fact that they will be more strict in the future. I think the situation with Bastoni is far more blown over because of the reaction that Bastoni had and because of the current VAR possibility to intervene in second yellow decisions.
