I don’t want Eddie gone but there have been inexcusable D/Ls this season that have hurt our chances of fighting for Europe spots. I think there are Newcastle commentators who exaggerate their content but the criticism towards Eddie is fair and warranted. I know the summer did not go how expected and Isak threw a wrench in our season but we still have a very solid squad! That said what kind of club are we going to be if we continue under Eddie? We cannot attract talent if we are consistently in and out of the Champions League! Champions League is a huge selling point and not only that but the money we get chips away at PSR! Whether reports are right or wrong, players like Tonali should be on squads that get to play the CL. As of now it does look like we’ll be missing out on CL this year so where does that leave our summer? Players respect Eddie and so do the real fans, but if/when we miss out on CL this year then yes, I do believe we should look at bringing in a new manager. Especially one that isn’t afraid to win against their former club, 7 PL game, 0 WINS! Just a weird season and hate to see Eddie like this and I’m gonna continue to root for him. If he is our manager next season, I’ll still continue to support him and the club but the expectations are just gonna be “oh ya that makes sense that we lost that or damn another draw but what do expect” Has Eddie Howe taken Newcastle United as far as it can under his watch?

Never mind that they’ve such short memories when the ‘project’ has just begun. It’ll take time. Perhaps with many different players? We all want us to win every match. We need the financial muscle. We need healthy players. We need constant stability.

No one in here gets to pretend that this place is superior to any other social media platforms. There’s been many, many arseholes in here calling for Eddie out, Sandro sold, lost the dressing room etc. This place is exactly the sort of place that Tripps is referring to.
On one hand, love the support for Howe.
But on the other, really don’t want players or the staff searching out the social media bullshit.
