I still think it made sense. With PSR constraints, flipping a free asset within a few months for £20 million, when he was one of our highest earners looks like excellent business.
Also of course hindsight is 20/20, he had looked very average whenever he played for us, and we had Hall, Burn, and Targett at LB, and Botman and Burn at LCB when he was sold.
