I really thought as Keane’s hair pull was so minimal that they’d set a precedent that any hair pull was a red… apparently not.

  2. Tbf if you pause the video at 00:13 you can clearly see the player pulling the hair isn’t wearing an Everton kit so it’s fair play

  3. It’s Niasse all over again (I’m still bitter about that 🤣). We always seem to be the whipping boys with these kinds of decisions

  4. See this is what pisses me off.

I said at the time Keane was an idiot and deserved his red but apparently not if this is anything to go by.

This is at least the 4th thing/occurrence I can think of where we get don’t get the decision and another team gets the decision for the exact same thing.

  5. Absolute shite hawks.

VAR spotted it & checked it, then deemed it not a hair pull.

The inconsistency is disgraceful. The entire world could see that was a hair pull.

Same yesterday when Bournemouth’s ‘offside’ was ignored, but ours was given the week before.

I can live with shit decisions, if it’s applied the same to every team, in every game. But it’s not.

Seriously there’s something fundamentally broken with how games are officiated. VAR has highlighted the sheer incompetence of the officials in trying to apply vague laws of the game.

The non-offside last night, and now this. It’s just completely maddening.

  7. This is even worse than ours – at least with ours there was a (weak) suggestion that it was just down the the jumping. With this, he’s alongside but still has hold of his hair !!!

  8. VAR exists to back up the refs decisions and catch stuff they miss. I can’t remember VAR ever overturning a call made on field by the ref.
