Is the offside line usually drawn on the shoulder or the edge of the sleeve? In this case it looks like the edge of the sleeve was closer to goal and might have played him onside…
its normally the sleeve line, this happened a couple weeks ago, was it brighton or somebody, where the line was undeniably drawn from the sleeve
however in that same game week there was another almost identical decision where the line was drawn from a slightly different part of the sleeve lol… there’s no use even debating it, the rule just needs to be changed

The rule is quite simple: it’s offside if Newcastle scores. It’s not if their opposition scores.

You are missing some context, it goes by where is legal to play the ball, the sleeve line is a rough guide to where the arm/hand ends by the rules of the game, so if an arm is outstretched, that is where they work from.
Here is arm is behind his shoulder, which is legal to play the ball with, so they go from the shoulder.

So tired of the offside discussion. It is clearly offside, stop talking about it. Every club does this, making us look like ars*nal fans

You do know that this picture isn’t the picture they use to make the decision right?

Can anyone remember when someone with a flag used to wave it and shout “offside, ref!”
