🔥In my opinion he’s truly one of the best talents we have, both for the Italian national team and in Serie A. Every time I’ve watched him play I’ve really liked him, and his stats are genuinely very good.
He might be hyped by journalists, but I think he deserves to be in the spotlight quite often. I really hope he can become a great striker for our Italian national team.

Overhated? I’ve never seen so much praise for him from the media, even before he started scoring.
If he gets hate online it’s only because he gets way too much praise. He is not 17. In other leagues 20 years old players are already making the difference and nobody talks about them like Italian media talks about Pio.

Underrated, no. He’s 20 years old, physically explosive, and knows how to play football.
But he still misses a lot of goals, and he’s lucky enough to play for a great team that creates a lot. There’s plenty of room for improvement, but when I hear figures like €60+, I laugh. Time will tell.
He’s overrated IMHO
He did 22 appearances and 3 goals while Semih Kilicsoy made 14 appearances with 4 goals.
Semih a goal every 171 minutes, Pio a goal every 270 minutes.
Semih a goal every 2 matches, Pio a goal every 3 matches…

This is just manipulation. The press and orhers are hyping him like he is the next ronaldo or so and idiots like stramaccioni goes on saying they didnt see any 20 year old in serie a like pio. Yes guess yildiz then to just say 1 name in this generation and not going back several years.

He’s not overhated nor overrated. I have never seen anyone hate on him online. I don’t live in Italy so i don’t know if people hate on him in irl but i doubt that’s the case.

He’s only 20. People expect too much from a 20 years old. Some players are late bloomers, some bloom early, some never do. He’s getting hated because medias and social medias are talking too much, not because of his performances. The same scenario happens so many times, it’s stupid and counter-productive.

He’s been over-glazed for a while by the media, so now by response he’s over-hated by many fans. The truth is in the middle as often happens: he’s a big talent and already a good player.
If you were starting a team right now, and had to pick one among him, Vergara or Palestra (take your team biases out of it) is Pio a no-brainer? I know they don’t play the same position. Just throwing it out there for discush
