Mohamed Salah has struggled to reach his previous heights in the 2025/26 season.
Arne Slot dropped the winger for a few Premier League games earlier this term amid his struggles.
Salah then hit out after the 3-3 draw with Leeds United before leaving for a month to compete at the AFCON.
He has since been put straight back into the starting line-up but his form remains questionable.

Liverpool fans are worried about Salah and his declining pace this season, while he’s scored just six and assisted six in 25 matches so far this term.
In comparison, the 33-year-old ended the last campaign with 34 goals and 23 assists in 52 matches.
Why Mohamed Salah is struggling
Now, Sam Allardyce has shared an insight into why Salah is struggling.
He suggested the player is still trying hard and his issue is mental, rather than physical.
Allardyce also urged Liverpool to ‘do something with him [Salah] from a psychological point’.
Speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, he said: “Look how many he scored or has continued to score year in year out. And it just seems to have left him, like I mean it’s not as if he’s not trying hard.
“You just need to do something with him [Salah] from a psychological point of view to put him back on track.
“This is not a physical problem. This is a mental problem. And of course we all know that he just needs that one that drops and scores that can change it like that, can’t it?”
Thoughts on a Salah exit?

At his current rate, Salah will probably end the current campaign on around 12 goals and 12 assists.
That would be his worst season as a Liverpool player since signing from AS Roma back in 2017.
Salah had a brilliant debut campaign for the club, scoring 44 goals across all competitions.
A couple of years later, in 19/20, he recorded his lowest goal contribution total of 23 goals and 13 assists.
It did, however, make little difference as Liverpool won their first Premier League title that season.
