Hello everyone,

I've just returned to the sunny West Midlands after a few years away and was hoping to get some late Holte End tickets for the Brighton game tomorrow. I'm struggling to understand the ticketing system we now have though.

In the screenshot above, the darker seats are for Terrace View (£132) and the lighter blue I think are standard tikets (£49) (not sure why they have an exclamation mark?). I'm trying to figure out why there's such a big difference in the price of seats that are next to each other?

I'm trying to get 2 tickets sat next to eachother in the holte, but can't afford the £132 tickets. Is there away to get the terrace view listed seats without the terrace view addon? I'm just looking for standard tickets.

  1. Unfortunately they don’t tend to sell the Terrace View seats without the premium price.

Fair few seats together in Doug Ellis Upper, towards the Holte End of the ground though. You’ll still feel the atmosphere but it won’t cost you and arm and a leg (£53).

  2. In the years you’ve been away, some bright spark has decided to plonk extortionate hospitality tickets at the heart of one of the best stands in English football. Villa would rather miss out on your £132 than accept your £50 at this stage.

As another commenter said, go to the right-hand side of Doug Ellis and the atmosphere leaks over nicely. Genuinely would be interested to see what you make of the atmosphere now after a few years away. PSG/City/Arsenal games aside, I think it’s been pretty flat for a while now. Although in fairness I think that’s a trend across most of the league.

  3. The exclamation mark means it’s in the safe standing area. Unlikely to get two together now in the Holte
