This is the hole they fell into with Ole, the hole that Chelsea fell into with Di Matteo.
A fun short term fling shouldn’t turn into a 2-3 year setback.
Im just throwing this out there as an Arsenal fan. Man U played MUCH better v us in the first game of the season than they did a couple of weeks ago.
Im not saying Carrick is bad (but hes a failed championship manager), that remains to be seen. But right now hes riding off of admittedly 1 good performance v city, 2 worldie goals v Arsenal and a last minute winner v Fulham.
Any thoughts of giving him the job now is the exact sort of knee jerk reaction that has had Man U stagnant for the last decade.
It’s crazy how much narritive there is around this when there is literally no need for any of it. Can we not at least get to his 7th or 8th game before going on about this daily?
