  1. He was the biggest xG underperformer in Europe for us. We made him a fair offer, he chose to turn it down and is doing well, best outcome for everybody. I truly think he needed a change of scenery to flourish.

No question he deserved better service and now he’s getting it, but he really didn’t do nearly enough with the service he had in his time here (Carlo era excluded).

  2. Always a massive fan of dcl and we for sure didnt create enough chances for him but lest we forget he underperformed his xg significantly multiple years in a row so idk.

    No.

Absolutely every argument for keeping him was obliterated 10 times over by the reasons not too.

The biggest of all being, he chose to leave.

  4. It doesn’t matter what he does elsewhere. It wasn’t working at Everton. Both parties needed a change.

Feels like everyone skips past the part where we tried to keep him here but he demanded over £150k a week. Even in his current form, there is no regret not taking on that level of salary hit. Reports are he is on around £80-100k at Leeds.

He worked hard for many years here, good luck to him, move on.

  6. The ones who booed him for being injured, yeah. But otherwise, let it go. I’m pleased he’s found some fitness and form.

we know he can score, he was just injured so much the last few years. we wanted him back but not for the wages he wanted due to injury. looks like leeds took the risk. good for him. he knows how to fight a relegation battle
