  1. In this very moment it seems a bit like a surprise, but when I think about it more it has been coming and makes sense. I feel like he had some good moments but not more than that and often his defense was atrocious

He maybe a solid player, but he is definitely not the Bayern Munich level player. Best of luck to him in Turkey.

His first touch was really poor imo. Not sure loan spells will improve it so unfortunately all I can hope for here is that the loan will be a good showcase to potential buyers

His character and mentality was a problem.
Kompany got angry with him when Boey wasn’t ready fast enough when he wanted to bring him on.

  5. I think they said it well on the Gegenpressing podcast a while back when they said “at best, Sacha Boey is of the level for a mid-table Bundesliga club” and I kinda agree. But regardless, he’s a body we could bring on for 10 minutes to close out a game we were winning. So the squad is looking a bit thin atm which is concerning.

  6. Uhhhh…huh? We have an already thin squad and we’re pushing to make a run in the CL and we’re…decreasing our squad size in the winter window?! I…I do not understand.

That one game against us impressed our board so well. He never played the same in our colours. Injuries didn’t help either.

He’s a young player who has been perfectly fine for us in very limited minutes? Our wingback depth is virtually non-existent, and what depth we have doesn’t have HALF his pace. He hasn’t been mindblowingly good, but unless there’s behind-the-scenes issues for this, I don’t really get it, especially if we’re not bringing anybody in.

I know he didn’t play for us and was basically bumming the wages, but I would’ve preferred for him to leave in the summer, I mean for goodness sakes we have one less person on the bench and there has been no reinforcements!

What’s going to happen when we need cover?
