For me it has to be Neville Southall. While he was in his twilight, in terms of pure talent for his position he was our best. Plus he rolled back the years to help us win the FA Cup Final!

Limpar
Stuart Barlow was 27 in that picture. He looks like he was just promoted from the youth ranks.
Anders Limpar. It’s a season too early for it to be Andrei Kanchelskis.

Nev if you are talking about the particular set of skills that relate to goalkeeping, but he didn’t have any competition in that squad.
Most people think of outfield players when it comes to a question like this though. And for me it’s Limpar.

I had a season ticket that year and in terms of talent, it was Limpar by a mile. Big Nev was still good but not what he had been.
Hinchcliffe should get a mention, as his left foot was special.
