I’ve recently bought our blue third kit and got a name on the back and champions league badge added, and after the first time wearing it they started peeling off so bad, honestly the quality control of these products isn’t great, if they’re not meant to stay on then why sell them like this in the first place.

Pay extra just to see it come off after first wear. Didn’t even wash it and it’s peeling off, so I fully expect it to come off completely once I do

That’s why I wouldn’t buy a shirt with badges that cost extra; I always 90 degree wash them to get that awful bloody Noon badge off the arm. They’re getting wise to it too. Last season’s away one came off after 3 washes, this year it’s only half removed after about 6. But I’ll get the obnoxiously garish, yellow bastard!

This is why I get shirts off dhgate to be honest. At least when they go to shit, it was only like £15 including postage

  3. Is this some sort of bad omen for carrier bag to beat us?

Joking aside, that’s piss poor but I am guessing someone in the club store could help you out if you take it in and explain.

Yeah the Champions League patch on mine came off too not even a week in. Same shirt as well, the blue one. Disappointed but planning on ironing it back on sometime.

  5. Apparently it’s quite common. If you take it back to a club shop they will press it back on with no extra charge.

  6. I’ve had this. Club shop will redo it for you if you can get to it. It the champions league badges, the club shop told me other clubs have the same issue, the glue isn’t the best.

Alternative is to turn it inside out and iron it on a low heat directly on to sleeve. Or if you have any plain a4 paper use this to protect the top and turn the heat up slightly to get a better press.

Poor quality shirts which are dead expensive to buy, the badges and sponsors should be stitched into the top if you ask me, as they just fall off and wash off, which leaves people with damaged top and just some more plastic into the sea at the same time crazy. Ps I am a toon army fan myself.

  8. Take it back to get ironed again. It probably wasn’t on long enough, I got it on the home shirt and it’s been washing a lot and still on.
