Aston Villa are considering making a late swoop to sign Fulham star Harry Wilson on deadline day, according to Wales Online.

Unai Emery’s side have had an excellent campaign so far and currently sit seven points behind league leaders Arsenal in third place in the Premier League, but they have seen some changes within their squad this month after Donyell Malen and Evann Guessand were sold, while Tammy Abraham and Douglas Luiz have both re-signed.

But the Midlands club are still looking for more additions, and they could make a move to sign the in-form attacking midfielder before the 7pm deadline.

Aston Villa Could Move for Harry Wilson

Chelsea's Marc Cucurella fouls Fulham's Harry Wilson and is later sent off

Wilson, who has been described as ‘magical’, h as been in sensational form for the Cottagers this season, registering nine goals and four assists in all competitions so far.

But the Wales international is out of contract this summer and so far has has yet to reach an agreement on an extension with the west London club, raising question marks over his future. It’s understood that Wilson is leaning towards a summer exit, and that could tempt Fulham to cash in this month to ensure they don’t lose him for nothing.

Villa are now looking at potentially making a move for him on deadline day, as they look to strengthen their right-wing role, and are considering tabling a formal bid to try and convince Fulham to let him leave.

Marco Silva is unlikely to want him to move on at this stage of the window, with a replacement difficult to find, and with his contract also expiring in the summer, Fulham are not going to want to upset him.

But Villa have proven to be masters of the deadline day market in recent transfer windows, and they may now be set to wave their magic wand once again.
