[Fabrizio Romano] EXCL: Utrecht agree deal to sign Emeka Adiele on a four-year deal from West Ham 🇳🇱 The player attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, but opted for Utrecht with first-team football as the priority.

Said in the transfer thread but having watched him a lot the past two seasons:

Utrecht is a fantastic club for him to go to, especially if they’re losing Souffian. It’s definitely a shame to lose Emeka, he would’ve been fantastic in the circumstance we get relegated, I really rate him, but his short stature meant it was always going to be a struggle to make the team in the Prem, and the fact he is primarily a wingback complicates things too.

Hope we have a sell on or even a buy back clause, this is a great club to get him onto the big leagues.

At the very least as fans you can clearly see he’s trying to do the best for himself, he wasn’t close to breaking through at the moment so I cant really see why anyone can really complain.
