He was one of the main reasons why we got 3 points out of that game yesterday. It could have very easily been a draw or even a loss.

If it wasn’t already proven, yesterday also proved that he has some great reflexes in his locker and can be counted upon to make some crucial saves too.

He’s gotten extremely unlucky in that he’s conceded a good few screamers. He’s a solid keeper.

He is one of the best signing… a kind of recruitment you want from the club. Mbuemo, Cunha all were PL proven stars, Sesko too had shown potential in Germany. Not sure how INEOS found him, what they saw but they have been very good. Hope they continue to find talents like him….

Schmeichel in disguise! 😍

This was a game I was waiting to see from him. He’s been solid no doubt, but hasn’t shown, or hasn’t needed to show, a level which comments from Courtois would indicate he has in his locker. Today was that type of performance. He’s just going to keep on getting better and better with more top-level experience.

Defenders must feel so much more confident seeing a proper keeper in the goal.

Does this count when maguire tried to knee an own goal?

He’s another example of how United’s current structure has long term benefits and what mess glazers had over the years without DoF. Even if Wilcox is incompetent, the fact that there is someone who can override manager for signings and think long term is what has been missing at the club.

The reaction save in the first half was so nice.

I loved seeing him smile when he conceded the penalty. This guy doesnt give a fuck, not affected one bit. A damn robot. Laughed it off and went on to continue the game like no problem
I think with all the amazing new players we got. He is our most valuable one

The defence is letting him down big time. He is doing his job well, we should not be allowing so many shots on goal

His fundamentals are really solid. Punching out. Catching cross. Saving a shot and push it away from opposition.
However he still has someway to go to become top tier. He is normally not close to stopping worldies which suggest that his anticipation can be better.
This said our defence needs to be better in limiting the shots. Every forward is cutting in nowadays and we shouldn’t be conceding so many. With experience he will be better and not a position that we should strengthen right now.

Lammens, Heaven, Dorgu – these are the type of signings we never saw under Glazers. Young, reasonable – low cost, unknown entities, but most importantly physically ready to start for this team from day 1. I only hope they can bring in a CM like that along with a star DM

The best thing is He still can play for us for another 10 years

I think people are still under the phase of “he is good because he is not Onana”. No, he is good because he is proper good.
When he signed I commented about how confidence I was about him being a great signing. I have experience playing as a GK at semi pro level, and when I looked at his highlight, I can clearly see his fundamentals are literally PERFECT. For a GK, when under pressure, he will go back to the fundamentals. And because his fundamentals are so solid, that’s his floor. At worst he is a 6-7/10 every week. I even commented on how Vitek doesn’t have that same level of fundamentals. And that showed as well, even as great as Vitek is right now, he still made some basic errors. Just last week he conceded due to bad positioning on the line. Lammens doesn’t make that kind of mistakes.
It’s still very understated how he went into the hardest job in world football, having basically no top flight experience whatsoever, and in half a season he hasn’t made any mistake whatsoever. Even situations where he could have done slightly better is few and far between. That’s not just solid, that’s insane.

We still concede a lot of goals, but they are rarely his fault. Unlike Onana, who would push the ball into the path of an opponent, be massively out of position or just not stop a shot you’d expect a 4 year old to save. If we make the right defensive signings and maybe get a great defensive coach, I think Old Trafford could be a fortress again next season.

Signing of the season for us. It’s not like Donna or Dibu are significantly having a better season from an individual standpoint compared to Lammens.
