10 wins out of 11? We were mature in understanding the moments of the game and in finding ways to win. From the point of view of controlling the match, we were there. We were a bit slow in our build-up, we were lacking some energy. In the second half, a bit of relaxation is understandable, due to the scoreline and the lack of energy

Frattesi is an Inter player and he is an important player. And he has to prove it and show it. We trust in his qualities, we need everyone and we need Davide Frattesi in optimal condition to give that little something extra in certain matches, the ones in which we sometimes fall short

Do we play too much? The decisions I’ve made in the past are proof of that. I’ve always given rest, actually, you even criticized me for it. I’m not a genius, I’m not a professor. But I have made some decisions about rest. And I was criticized for them. A team has to accept taking some risks; we tried to anticipate that by granting extra rest. And we will continue like this

When there isn’t much energy, you have to find a way to win matches. I’ll take the result and I’ll take the first half. We forced the game plan a bit and managed to build a two-goal lead. In the second half, we lowered the tempo. We thought we could manage it, and we did manage it. Sometimes you need to try to do something a little better, but it’s never easy. I’ve been in these situations as a player, it’s never easy playing every three days.

It’s not easy for anyone. On Thursday evening I was watching the Europa League, my daughter knocked on the door and I had fallen asleep. I even got scared because I thought I was late for a meeting. And I think the players experience it the same way, sometimes you don’t even realize whether you’re at home or in a hotel. But that’s how it is, and we still manage to always be competitive

Inter are always under scrutiny because Inter are always seen by everyone as the strongest team. This group is wonderful and has everything it takes to be competitive. There’s still a very long way to go; we’ve put ourselves in a good position thanks to our own efforts. We’ve grown as a group, but I repeat: the season is still long.

  1. Bastoni:

    >I used to come to the stands when Cremonese were in Serie C. It’s always a great emotion for me to play against Cremonese. We had to be careful, united, and solid. From now on every point is very important, and I’m satisfied with the team’s attitude. We play a lot, and our energy isn’t always at 100%. It’s not easy to always play away from home and not concede goals. I’m satisfied.

    >Head-to-head clashes? If you look at the standings, these matches become decisive, games that seem easy but hide many pitfalls. Thanks also to the coach’s rotations, we manage to put in great performances. We’re missing just a few details to win the head-to-head matches, we’ll get there. But if we keep winning the matches we’re supposed to win like this, it will go well.

  2. The mercato was never opened for us, not even for a moment with these owners who are not willing to spend a single euro on the team in january. Chivu has to cook with Henrique and Frattesi until summer.

  3. Marotta and ausilio are taking advantage of the fact that chivu is a freshman so he cant pretend anything, but if there were another coach he would be mad at them, lets be serious

  4. Marotta in an interview pre-match said that the transfer market is closed, as there weren’t any opportunities… ffs
