Not that I am sad over Lookman not being with us this season because frankly imo we have been doing great and many of our signings have done pretty well but that Atalanta greed at the time was so infuriating. They were just being stubborn about it and they let Lookman go for 35M fixed fee plus add ons but they didnt even name a price for us even though we were offering higher. All that for eventually letting him go and to ruin their dressing room just because they were stubborn at the time.

  1. Yeah, they obstructed us (as if they are title contenders) and not only they didnt gain an advantage, they harmed their own chances of european qualification.

I can only wish them all the worst.

  2. It wasn’t just about money, they did not want to sell to a “direct rival” … you know what, that would have been fair a season earlier; last season they could have an honest claim to be italy’s second best team … but then they lost Gasp and chose Juric, at that point it had become ridiculous for them so see themselves as our direct rivals.

  3. Guys, just direct your fury towards Percassi. Atalanta remains a treasure for Italian football despite their head being rotten. I truly wonder whether their philosophy will hold with Gasp gone.

  4. And another infuriating thing is that we gave them Zalewski who has been really important for them.
Sad for league losing another great talent in Lookman(

  5. Percazzi always had that slimy finger in the arse look about him.

I don’t think we’ve lost much by not going for that deal throughout. Some were disappointed we didn’t push the blade deeper and they decided not to budge, but in retrospect it all worked out just fine. If not great.

I’m happy they got fisted and we’re leading the standings. Our management gets criticized a lot for their apparent frigidity and inactiveness, but in this instance they did fucking well. Pio bless.
