Hello,
I am a Villa fan from the United States, looking to go to my first professional soccer (football) game in Villa's game against West Ham next month while on break from school. I was looking for some help on deciding what the best place to sit is in order to get the best experience.
I'm not sure if I want to try and sit as close to the game as possible or sit further back to be able to take everything in, as well as what area of the stadium would make for the best view or is considered an especially fun/louder section. What are some pros and cons of sitting in different areas? Also any advice for the actual process of buying the tickets or if there's something important I should know it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm pretty new to soccer overall so any other tips that will help to enhance my experience and time at Villa Park or the area around it would be awesome! Thanks.

For atmosphere k2 k3 k4 k5 k6 (The holte end), you cant beat it. For view then lower p6 (doug ellis stand) on the half way line. However, The back of say p6 is still closer to the pitch than the front of A5. However as its a one off i would suggest to buy a ga+ ticket for the terrace view in the holte end (hospitality). makes a nice occasion of it, get 2 hour build up with a view of the ground and a seat in the upper holte with a good atmosphere, plus a programme for the game and a couple of drinks included, it makes it more of a moment to remember. It is more expensive probably £150 instead of £75 but, if your on a trip and its one off just do that and you dont have to worry about being a member to get a ticket in time before they sell out or having been regularly to secure your ticket. you can purchase those tickets without having to wait for ticket release for the game too. For me, atmosphere is more important anyway, can always watch what actually happened on tv when you get home. But you cant beat standing in the holte and yelling your heart out for 90 mins. And a tip would be get to your seat and soak up the build up inside the stadium, learn the chants if you don’t know them already so you feel like you can join in especially if you sit in the holte end.
Id recommended M3 or P4 to get the best views and see the stadium in full take some pics etc, then maybe a seat in the holte to soak up the atmosphere on your 2nd visit.
