  1. Says more about his attitude like… he was good but idk if id want that in the locker room.

Villa is doing good why’s he running his mouth.

We all knew he was never staying with us forever. He’s just saying the quiet part out loud now. He had a decent spell under us and was a fun personality from the little behind the scenes stuff I saw. I wish him the best but I could see this causing strife with his current team

  3. He was decent but the way he sounds here to me he was world class and real Madrid were calling. Could probably argue that the squad we had meant couldn’t shine I guess but yeah wasn’t exactly a huge hole in midfield when he left

  4. more personality than performance. I remark regularly that Iroegbunam does many of the things that Onana did. If we are being totally honest, Onana was mobile around the pitch and good at tackling. and…. there’s not much else. popped up with a headed goal every now and again, and has scored a couple good goals for Villa but its not like “world class clubs” are banging on Villas door trying to sign the guy. Whenever I see Iroegbunam perfectly time a sliding challenge and win the ball back, I just think to myself that he’s doing it for 50m less than onana lol

He was a bench player at our lowest point. I don’t believe he’s done anything amazing at Villa, at least I hardly hear them talk about him. It feels like the league is full of players who think they deserve CL football and have done nothing to earn it.

  6. I’ll never forgive the penalty. I saw that day how brain dead he is. This seems inline with that.

  7. I’d like to thank him for his massive contribution. I can remember him changing games single-handedly.
They were ones he wasn’t playing in, but he played his part by being nowhere near the pitch.

  8. Never really thought he was that good for us and I think we did a good bit of business with him.

However I do have a bit of respect for him as he could have left us in January and decided to stay. But he does have a tendency to believe his own hype far too much.

  9. To be fair, fans get mad if players tell the truth like this, but also get mad if they don’t tell the truth and leave anyway.

Supporting your club is one thing. But anyone delusional enough to think there aren’t lots of bigger and better clubs now days than the likes of us, and even with their current success villa, needs to have a think.

Fact is lots of players will see us as a stepping stone club and some are right. Some get a bit ahead of themselves…

  10. That is good professional ambition and that is okay. Fans see if differently but i don’t judge him for it. Let’s see if he can go further, as Villa seem right about the correct level for him. To be fair they are doing very well.

  11. Reminds me of something my Dad once said about James Beattie:

“He’s not lacking for confidence is he…..it’s ability he’s short of.”
