Joel Piroe has made his position crystal clear to Leeds United by refusing to entertain a proposed transfer to Rangers, despite pressure from figures at both clubs to make the deal happen. The Dutch striker wants no part of a move to Glasgow, preferring to remain at Elland Road and fight for his Premier League future under Daniel Farke. Leeds chairman Paraag Marathe, who also serves as vice-chairman on the Ibrox board, had floated the idea of sending Piroe north of the border as a solution to the player's lack of game time. Rangers boss Danny Rohl expressed openness to exploring the possibility, particularly after hitting roadblocks in their pursuit of Hansa Rostock striker Ryan Naderi.

No great loss I’d say
Oh well, I imagine that we’ll end up meeting Rostock’s demands now for Naderi considering the deadline is fast approaching and this option hadn’t panned out
And the motherwell striker would have been a better option to start with.
Fair enough. I only want players here who want to be here.
Move onto the next target.
If he doesn’t fancy it then best being honest at this stage.
Prick.
