This really caught me by surprise. I don’t know how to feel about this.

Like the player profile (26 but very experienced). The deal seems good, loan with option to buy for 35M (they paid 60M 1/2 year ago). My only concern is that he’s a RW, never played a game as a RWB in his life
If I remember correctly he’s a left footed right winger? Would be a strange signing, right?
He is a winger, I don’t know if he can fit in the 3-5-2!
At this point, if he’s willing to take a chance and cross the ball in the last 3rd vs passing it back and let someone else try is a plus on my book
Also, we all know that as soon Dumfries is healthy he will be playing 80 minutes each game…

Makes no sense at all. We have 4 strong attackers, and lack players in other areas of pitch. Is he gonna play rwb?
yet another winger to adapt to RWB – he’s a very good player but at this point why not buy Alisson and put him as LCB ????
To me, it’s a sensible move if they want to have a 3-4-3 formation.
But if they want Diaby to play as a wingback in a 3-5-2, that would be disastrous.
