  1. John Stones is like the 'Pogba' amongst the defenders where his performance is highly speculated according to his price tag. Only difference is Stones has fulfilled his functionality as a defender, proving his worth meanwhile Pogba has not proved himself worthy of his price tag.

  2. Great comp! Stones has stepped up massively so far this season. Credit to him for the hard work he has done behind the scenes, and to Pep for his coaching. He may likely make some mistakes eventually, as is a natural part of the learning process of a young player; and also relative to the risk involved in the build up, but I expect it to happen – people judged him too harshly based on his price as if he is the finished article, but he was/is still only young and plays in a position that he won't reach his prime in for a few more years yet. Generally, most centre backs begin to hit their prime around ~26.
