  1. Take him back for a much reduced fee. Unai coaches him back to his best. Scores a few bangers in the Europa. Sell him in the summer for 50 mil this time.

Rinse and repeat as needed. 1 man PSR machine.

I have a feeling this will be a “he’s playing where now?”

If you think about his young age, he’s already had half a dozen clubs!

  3. I think that if mateta goes forest…
I think he goes there, and i think that it blows up massively

NO. Terrible attitude and only cares about money and fame.

Was the worst player when we played them and will only bring down the team

  5. Any more than a couple of million, forget it.

Yes he brings the chaos, but we don’t need his petulance on the pitch, or whinging in the dressing room about not playing.

  6. I’d love to see him back in the prem, but only because he’s top entertainment. I can see him becoming a cult hero at Newcastle.

  7. It always bothers me that the did made a huge spectacle for him when he signed. I remember the video of him and JPA at Villa Park, being shown videos about how special it is at Aston Villa and all the while he just viewed us as a stepping stone.

Super sub. Top corner bangers. Occasional red cards. Mistakes off the field. More top corner bangers off the bench. Let’s go!

    But it ain’t happening.

Reading the two Villa books from this past summer, the general feeling seems to be that the club loved the specimen that Duran is, but not the maturity level Duran also currently is.

He’s like the boyfriend that has his head on the swivel looking for his next girlfriend right after he started dating his current one… That’s never going to be great.

One day, he’ll hopefully wake up when his finds the best place for him. I’m going to assume that one day he’ll fully understand just how great he had it (and would have had it) under Emery.

(All that being said, man I really loved watching him change a game when he came on. I didn’t care too much for his play when he started, however.)

Imagine all 3 of them starting together! Like a big beautiful museum of villa strikers

  11. Attitude stinks, any club looking at him has to have a psych unit ready to go to rein him in.

He didn’t seem to hold any love for us when we played him last, so leave him. He’ll bounce around clubs and I’m sure his agent will get the bag, but it’s a waste.

  12. Getting Grealish back wouldn’t be unpopular

There’s like…a tiny tiny tiny tiny section of the fanbase that hate him, but they’d be over it after the first game lmao

  13. Yes, surely not. I’m pretty sure Unai and the team are delighted to no longer be in the Jhon Duran business.

  14. id have had him abck absolute killer for us infront of goal. Tail between his legs and a little bit of humble pie get his head down he would be a superstar for us!

  15. I always find it completely bizarre how Duran is associated with “chaos” – his hot goalscoring spell was very brief and he only ever got sent off once. In most matches he had very little impact at all.
