What Xavi has done this game is that they have just mirrored and learned Ancelotti's tactics. In the league when Ancelotti used Valvarde as the false winger they destroyed Barca and now Barca used the same tactic to mirror Real Madrid and dominated them.
What never gets mentioned is how important that year with Messi was for Pedri.
When they got on the field originally it was obvious to me that they should be playing.

Dejong works well in a 2 pivot system. He's never your single pivot. That's his issue at Barca, that's why it's better for him to join team like ManUtd.
Xavi has made it clear, he sees frenkie more as an interior. But frenkie aint a better interior than Gavi, pedri. You're loosing the skillset of Frenkie if you ain't playing him deep. Ystrdy's game suited him the best because he was deployed deep with Busquets, can't see it happening every week.

Xavi will need a bit more time,build team around Pedri,Gavi,Fati.All free and home grown have the Barca DNA,after spending 450 million on Cortinho,Greizman,Dembele,they have got better players who are worth over 500 million
Pedri tries to smoothly get away from the opposition but Gavi on the other hand going at the opposition.

What's interesting to me is that Ansu Fati had a similar career trajectory, and garnered as much excitement, as Gavi and Pedri; about 2 years ago. Things just played differently for him.
