      So in three games that’s three injuries to central midfield, two of them from snide tackles from cloggers

      Get dougie in. Alongside onana with Barkley and Bogarde should see us. I see prime dougie with a similar impact as tielemans IF he can get back to it.

      Fabrizio is indicating that Luiz is going to be coming back on a loan deal. Still will be thin in midfield but I think Onana and Luiz can work well together

      Central midfield was the main quality area in our team, besides Rogers, that sets us apart from teams below along with Emery’s tactics.

      To lose Kamara Tielemans McGinn at the same time is absolutely killer. Onana is brilliant but so injury prone. Barkley has never got going as a starting player in the deeper role and can’t stay fit. Bogarde is still finding his feet at this level.

      It’s a good job we already have points on the board in the fight for European football. Luiz will help but there’s no way we’ll be quite as strong.

      There was one angle on the slow mo replay where his foot looked bent at a really horrible angle. I feared the worst then. Then felt a bit more hopeful that he walked off on his own. He’s been superb – I’m proper gutted. Just hope he bounces back quickly and trying to clutch for a positive straw, maybe we’ll have him, McGinn and Barkley coming back with freshness for the run in.

      Hemmings, Bogarde, Barkley and Onana. To cover the remaining matches in three different comps.

      Of those both seniors are made of glass.

      The only chance we have is to hope all 4 steps up and we can get a loan signing in that kicks into gear right away.

      That’s the season over then. We can pretend we have the cover but we don’t have anyone nearly as good as Bouba or Youri especially whilst in 3 competitions. This is gutting, every time we look to be putting something together we get shafted.

      Sucks but this is why it was so important to have the big buffer that we have. We jutsvhave ti see the league out get top 4/5 and see how europe goes.

      So due to dirty tackles from limited (at best) players we have two of our best players out.

      I hate this game sometimes.

      Thomas Frank is almost certainly getting sacked at Tottenham, can see Howe getting the deserved boot too.

      Yeah it was a terrible tackle, can’t believe how bad the ref was not even calling it a foul. Hopefully it’s not too bad and he has a clean recovery

      No McGinn, Kamara or Tielemans is as bad as it can get. Really hope we keep Onana fit because we are so weak in this area now

      Ref wasn’t great last few games. I feel like a yellow card is almost irrelevant now. Players take one to stop teams late on in games, 5 subs means you can take people out the firing line easier and with VAR now play tends to continue more and other things happen which makes light of the initial foul occasionally.

      I really want to see a sin bin style come in. Players wouldn’t take as many risks with challenges or cynical fouls if they left this team with 10 men for 5 minutes.

      So this is why we’re after Luiz. This is why we’ll never be truly competitive because we just don’t have the squad depth the likes of Arsenal and Man City have.

      And thats why we are the most fouled team in the prem and teams are getting away with hacking our players down with no punishment its a joke. We have to get a couple of midfielders surely.
