  1. Damn right, long throws are shit.

No one goes to the game to see teams take 60 seconds over every throw in, they should not be allowed tools to make it easier.

Long throws have become set pieces. Brentford take about a minute per throw at times. Game’s gone.

  3. NBA basketball inbounds pass have 5 seconds to throw without moving your feet or else you lose the ball.

I’m not sure what the maximum timer on throws should be here in the EPL, but there should be one. The position should also be fixed, that bothers me more than the time is when a guy on the sideline walks 10 steps down the line from the spot and then throws.

  4. We get it Sean. You’re a proper old school, proper English manager. You don’t like any of this continental nonsense.

  5. Waiting for the first team to sneak colour-coded greasy towels for the away team to accidentally pick up.

  6. Even I’m starting to get pissed off with the time wasting on throw ins. I also find it laughable how roughly 14 of the PL clubs have suddenly discovered they have a player in their ranks capable of launching a big fuck off throw into the box.

  7. Stoke were using towels near on 20 years ago so its hardly new. Has it recently got unbanned or something?

I swear they stopped allowing the use of towels 15 years ago anyway when Stoke were causing the long throw trend back then

I thought the clubs had to agree to the use of towels before the game? If he hates them so much why not just say no?
