First half in which Milan objectively failed to do anything, just 1 shot. Roma instead created many chances, especially with Malen. Unfortunately, all of them were handled very poorly…
😬 The second half was very balanced, with very few chances for either side. Yet, 2 goals arrived, De Winter’s goal and Pellegrini’s penalty. Honestly, after De Winter’s goal I thought we would lose 0-1 once again, so I’ll gladly take this draw.
There really wasn’t a clear best player for Roma today, there was quite a lot of balance across the team.
🔥 For Milan, Maignan was without a doubt the best. 6 saves, 1.50 goals prevented and also 7 successful long kicks, an outstanding performance by the goalkeeper.
Great match also for Modric, who completed 51 passes today and created a big chance by providing the assist for De Winter. Defensively he was excellent as well, with 7 balls recovered and 6 one on one duels won, remembering that he is 40 years old.
Roma therefore move up to third place, level on points with Napoli, with Juventus and Como also very close.
Milan instead see Inter go +5 ahead of them, making the title race more complicated.

Horrible match from Milan. Slow and sloppy for weeks now. Not good enough for a team playing one fucking game a week.
Good performance from Roma (as well as Juve) tonight. Ideal results for Inter this weekend. Maignan is such a big asset man he’s a game changer.
should have ended 4-1, usual incredible luck for Allegri.
Catenaccio and pray for an opponent’s mistake, allegri is such a shame to Italian football. If a single Milan fan enjoyed tonight’s game I’d recommend 50 shades of grey, clearly he has some sadomasochistic instincts.

Roma should have got 6 points in the 2 games against Milan, I guess this is football though – a shitty version of it when 11 players are playing in their midfield.
Btw Roma Milan should have been played tomorrow, considering Roma played on Thursday while Milan had a whole week’s rest. Shame on serie a as well.
We really have a problem at approaching games against teams that play at higher intensity than us. First half of game, against Como and Atalanta were pretty much the same, although probably todays was the worst.
Id say the best player for Roma was Ghilardi (unless he was the one beaten by De Winter on the corner he won all his individual duels)

It would be a disaster for Italian football if team that plays like this AC Milan manage to win the title. Their entire strategy is literally Maignan, pray, counter.
