      Yes please. Oh and if your reading this Mr Parish, guessand is the best player in his position in the league, swapping these players with a bit of cash you are absolutely having our pants down. Take my word for it, dont watch highlights of our games.

      Even though he scores against us regularly, is a big unit and would compete with Ollie I have doubts about this. Anyone help me with why I feel hesitant about it?

      It’s Ornstein so there are legs to this.

      However Glasner seemed to be done at Palace, will they want to bring someone in who the next manager may not want.

      Plus it would be worth it simply to stop having to play against him 2+ times a season

      Well well well. I guess it depends on the respective valuations – they wanted €40m from Juve, so Guessand+£10m for Mateta would be decent business. He’s a bit streaky, but then so is Watkins (and Abraham). At the very least this should encourage Besiktas to be reasonable.

      I’ll be honest I’m not really sold on mateta like a lot of people seem to be. I think he just suits glasners system. If the supporters here think Ollie misses chances wait until you see mateta play for us. I say all that to say please crystal palace please take gussand off our hands and send mateta over. Even though I’m sure palace will actually play gussand in his prefers position and I’m sure out of no where he’ll be bagging 15 goals a season some how.

      Feels like Villa and Palace trying to light a fire under Roma and Juve. That said, the man can take a penalty – sign him up. I’d imagine wages would be an issue though.

      That aside… TAKE THIS DEAL… far better option than Abraham and more importantly frees up money for a DM… I’m not being hyperbolic when I say this could single-handedly save the window

      I read besiktas were asking c£17m in the Abraham deal. If this is correct I’d say guessand plus about 10-15m for mateta is about right. We have Bailey back so if he stays fit is an option on the right if we lose guessand.

      Mateta and Tammy are the same age, btw. Gonna get a lot of hate, but I think Mateta is a bang average player. Unai has shown that he can turn clankers like Gerard Moreno into great marksmen so I never doubt his (PURE) striker choices.

      I’m a big fan of Mateta. He absolutely screams an Emery player. Way more of a physical presence than Watkins, and I could genuinely see him working well alongside Ollie up top. Especially if we end up having to tinker with the DM role, I can definitely see us playing two up front.

      I think this could actually be great for both teams – Guessand clearly doesn’t fit our system and Palace wanted him before, and we desperately need another CF – make it happen Olabe!!!

      If it is though we get an amazing striker who could well start above Watkins, Bailey covers Guessand and then we use what money (if any) we have on a loan for a midfielder

      Idgaf betting mateta and tammy we need as many forward options as possible and sort out a load for a midfielder and maybe a cb we have has a good January window if we get that done.
