Its a tough one, we spent 30M on him 2 years ago so it probably takes 10M/15M to get the deal done which I’m not sure anyone is paying in this market for a 31 year old.

Good news to me. Although a squad player, he’s unfairly frozen out, but on high wages. So if we can free that up he can carry on his career and we can maybe replace him with a loan or something

I doubt they’ll meet his personal terms, so nothing will happen. He’ll leave a free agent in 18 months, or before but only due to some relegation clause cutting his wages.
