Feel like most teams looked absolutely knackered this weekend following the Christmas/New Years fixture list. Definitely think the winter split last year was beneficial in that regard
After a few comments on other posts there is no point in the club signing young prospects is there, Eddie doesn’t trust youth until hand is forced.
Miley only got minutes in one of worst injury crisis on record. Before that couldn’t get minutes ahead of longstaff or willok at the time. But Jesus he was amazing and held his own against even PSG. Seeing his composure and ability to pass was amazing just proved what was being overlooked. Miley again this season not getting much minutes until injury crisis at RB so played out of position and again is our stand out performer
Anderson couldn’t get minutes also behind longstaff and Willock. Wasn’t good enough to start regularly in eddies eyes yet happened to only be about year away from England squad starter never mind our fucking squad and he couldn’t find a way to use him!?
Refused to play Hall in injury crisis until hand was forced he would rather burn out of position at LB during his worst run of form and no rotation, people on here saying he was waste of money! Soon as came in we seen the instant upgrade.
Livramento was struggling for minutes and was being played out of position while trippier was going through his worst period on and off the pitch costing us games as his head was all over place. But whenever he played Tino he was standing out
Luckily these young players that are still here done so good it made it impossible to overlook them as everyone had seen what they are capable of.
Are you seriously telling me this Korean kid would do worse than elanga has been? Or worse than Almiron after his purple patch when he was a serial killer for all our attacks when all clubs realised he only had 1 leg? Or worse than Gordon who hasn’t scored in open play for over a year? Even if he blanks he’s on fucking par with other players Howe plays or played.
Having played terrible away from home all season, it’d be totally Newcastle to go and win away from home in Paris to clinch a top 8 finish! 🙂
I do feel like a lot of top teams attackers are struggling to score recently. The game is all about set pieces and long throws these days. Top 2 goal scores in the league right now have 20 and 16 goals then big drop off to 3rd with 10 and rest sit on like 7 goals.
