  1. Most it will be is probably a one window ban 20 million fine and maybe a small points deduction.

  2. BrutalBananaMan on

Man Utd’s spending despite having the debt of a small country and having a stadium made of Lego held together by gloopy glue makes a mockery of the Premier League

  3. Check their net spend dude since Pep. U will be surprised.

Chelsea united arenal are ahead. They spend but also sell for value.

  4. Not a city fan here, you guys play into the press so much.

You’re moaning about a club who haven’t been found guilty (yet) who sell well also as a club so are within FFP.

Liverpool spent 500m in one window and that’s absolutely fine right? Yes I know why Liverpool can spend this, they are within FFP also.

If your club was buying players you wouldn’t care.

Every club is the same, every club will spend money, get over it.

  5. It certainly does. But is anyone surprised they are allowed to spend as much as they want? We know they have cheated and made up fake sponsors to pay managers and players. We know they are alleged to have cheated **130 times** and that cheating has enabled them to build the squad they have now. Their own manager was a cheat during his playing days and was banned for doping. So the cheating runs right through the whole team, from the unscrupulous owners whose wealth is built on the deaths of slaves through to the players themselves who both cheat on the pitch and off it. Yet the press lap them up like the angels they are not.

  6. At least they been winning things on a consistent basis.

Manure and spuds are a bigger issue imo

And the clubs they cheated continue to suffer, with mendacious and vindictive false accusations from the same authorities who are protecting Man City and their fellow Super League clubs.

It’s ridiculous at a time when most clubs have to tighten their belts just to stay within the rules. The rules just don’t apply to City.

  9. I mean what’s not to mock.

We all know they’re looking for loopholes just stop they don’t have to badly punish man city. They’ve literally changed a rule last season just so that man city can find a way out of this. The game is dead

  10. I’m watching football less and less purely because of the obvious evidence of corruption such as this.

  11. Horse bolted ages ago. Once we accept city’s obviously fake yearly revenue numbers, everything else is downstream of that.

It’s unlikely I know. But imagine the best case scenario where the league goes nuclear on them and they are left relegated with £700m of new players.

It won’t happen but a man can dream.

  13. I will not stop posting this because it’s not spoken about enough in the media.

Because they fraudulently cooked the books.

This is what happens when you cheat, and then you able to just spend £100m to £350m each transfer window to cover any deficiency in the squad.

Fake sponsors mostly owned by Abu Dhabi to pump money into the club as a legitimate way.

Etihad, Emirates Palace, Noon, Experience Abu Dhabi, e&, midea, aldar, FAB Bank, yili, etc etc all owned by Abu Dhabi.

Let alone the city shops in UAE that make record income but permanently empty.

They fundamentally cheated, city trophies are meaningless, when you’re the Lance Armstrong of football.

Soulless stadium, souless fans, soulless club.

  14. And they’re about to sign Guehi after grabbing Semenyo. I’d really love to understand how FFP works.

  15. That fact that they still continue to use that amount of money tells me that City already know that they will get away with those charges

I’m thinking they know something is happening soon. Possibly a transfer ban and deduction and that’s why they’re buying big. Probably just a cope though.

  17. Banking on being innocent clearly.

What would hurt City more than a fine is to have a transfer ban of at least 5 years if not longer.

  18. Let those who have money to spend spend. There are other factors that affect team performance. Did Leicester City not win EPL with low budget?

Managers should aim to develop players to meet their highest potential; academies should to the same.

Too many low quality players in the EPL, Portugal, Spain… raise the amount of high quality players and the price/ salary of each one will stabilise or decrease.?
