Honestly: I don’t want to hear anything about our transfers before they happen. We’re in too tight of a spot and it’s too competitive that if word gets out of who we want the other teams can just bully us with money like with Gallagher going to a much worse team than us. I just want Emery and the club to move silently and we’ll know about it when the ink is dry.

I think it means we will have nothing to do with him. We move in silence.

He’s developed a lot since his Everton days. 19 goals in the league last year is really impressive, and he’s managing to score in a really poor Fiorentina side this year. Younger than Ollie and still has room to develop too. If the price is right I wouldn’t be against it at all.

Wouldn’t hate it if it happens, but Total Villa is notoriously full of shit.

There are a few things in football that really clubs should realise. One of these :
**Italians in general do not do well when they leave Italy and move to England.**
This gamble would be huge and i really hope we avoid it.

It fits the profile in my earlier comment in the January transfer thread about Malen, ‘so long as we bring in someone who can play up front and is also versatile enough to play wide’, and ‘whilst Ollie is still first choice the ideal would be a player who was in a similar position to Ollie when Emery came in; mid-20s, untapped potential, good movement and physicality.’
I know we’ve seen a younger and less consistent version of Kean, but we all think that Emery can take players to the next level. It would be a gamble because he’s probably going to cost us £35m. But given that we were already planning on spending that much on Elliott and with Malen going, hopefully we can afford it now.

Would prefer Tammy. A known quantity who regardless of what the numbers say will be willing to work hard for us.

Total villa are insane. It’s just throw every player out there and cheer when one is right!

He was terrible at Everton. Not many players thrive on a return to this league.
Salah and De Bruyne were at English clubs, but neither played nearly as many times as Kean did for Everton.
I’d be disappointed but would back him if he joined obvs.

A “decisive move”… does that mean we’ve progressed on from the weighing up or considering move, and being ready to swoop?

I read he had a €52M release clause, so unless we are finding gold under the Holte :/

I’d much rather Kean than Tammy, that’s for sure.
