I don’t really see anyone on the market better than him tbh. Who will they replace him with?

  2. As a Real Madrid fan all of the blame is on Perez again, it’s the same reason zidane walked away twice. The manager tells Perez they need players for certain positions and Perez refuses to buy them. The sooner that old man is gone the better

  3. Brazilian style reaching Europe I see!
Giving 6 months and already sacking. Amorim getting sacked in 6th place.

  4. OK, I’m not a staunch follower of La Liga but haven’t they had a really bad time with injuries this season especially to defenders. If that’s the case is being 4 points off the top such an awful position considering?

Seems like a decision made purely on the behalf of the players and them considering themselves undroppable and complaining about a manager that was prepared to make adjustments that he considered best for the team overall.

Guess whoever comes next will play the divas no matter what their form or contributions are.

I knew this was going to happen at some point. Honestly, Xabi Alonso is a good manager who has a lot to prove but he picked the wrong Madrid team at the wrong time. Unambitious, lazy, egotistical, drama queens and a lack of “fighting for the badge” says it all for Xabi to leave this hell hole. Hell I would have left too if my players did not give a shit about this club and only cared for the next paycheck.

  6. Real Madrid continues to be the promised land for players and a flipping nightmare for managers.

It’s a genuinely nuts decision. Are they playing badly, are they lagging far behind in the league? Nope. I watched the final yesterday and it looked like two top teams going at each other.

Is there a top manager of the calibre the club would expect who can keep all the egotistical players, Mbappe especially, happy and deliver the sort of success Real Madrid would expect. Since Zidane clearly wants to manage the French national team and he’ll get his chance after the World Cup it doesn’t look likely.

  7. Disgraceful. No player should be above the club.
That dressing room is a fucking cancer. I’m sure there are many top clubs that’d love to bring him in as their manager.

    Same SHIT, different names.
Yeah these players can fook off.

They either turn the season around for being spoiled bitches and I mean the big ego’s in the dressing room or this stain won’t be wiped away from their records.

This is on them and Perez.

Xabi should hold his head high, he was backstabbed from the beginning.

Should of gone to Liverpool, never imagine those words would come out of my mouth but look how RMCF has stained it’s reputation.

    Remember Benitez?

    This one feels different.

  9. Look The last Champions League Winners with Real Madrid

    Del Bosque, Zidane e Ancelotti

3 managers who had more ego manegement than tactical discipline, positional game or whatever

Madrid always was about manegement of The ego players, Xabi was a Guardiola type shit manager

I feel for Alonso, and he deserved more time.
I don’t think this is the right decision.

Xavi Alonso on his way to Liverpool.

I’m quite surprised that the board didn’t even give him a year to try to apply his ideas.

I believe they did not use the full potential from Xabi. He needed some more players, middle line after Kross and Modric is not there anymore. Average team in La Liga can outplay them at the moment. Same goes for some player, which have to play and currently are not in form. Too bad, I find him great, but he will continue to work on high level.

  13. Feels great to be vindicated…I said he was a bad fit at the thing the rumours of him taking from Ancelotti were swirling.

On tactical merit he deserved more time but the fact is he never commanded the players respect, they walked all over him from day one. Everyone can say the players are divas and egotistical (and to a certain extent I agree) but Ancelotti or Zizou would never have tolerated that. Managing egos is part of the job and in that respect he failed. It also didn’t help he usually looked very nervous / scared on the touch line. I agree though that the players let him down and he deserved better.

Slot has just chucked his original first XI for tonight in the bin and will be fielding a full-strength side…

Frantically texting Virg and Dom to finish their tea and get to Anfield asap!

So Maresca to Madrid? Who else is jobless right now? (Other than Zidane waiting out LeBoeuf)

  17. Terrible-Group-9602 on

Probably after he saw it was actually Mbappe calling the shots getting the players to refuse the guard of honour

  18. Bet Trent is like ‘ffs what av I done’ 🤣🤣🤣

We adored him, but he pulled a fast one for the opportunity, which turned out wank cos he’s hardly played at all and now his bezzie mate manager has been sacked.

I don’t think it’s all that it’s cracked up to be – earning loads of dosh, but being out/benched a lot, with your talent being completely wasted.

  19. Does anyone have Perez’s number?

I’ll happily sit on the bench and let Mbappe pick and run the team. And I’ll take a leaf out of the football manager playbook and send my assistant to do the press conferences. Easy money.
