Back 3 would be interesting but I’d rather have someone like Rohl or Garner on the right instead of Patterson in that case. Illy is always going to want to play outside-in so I’d rather have someone creative flanking him

I like all of these but especially the 2nd and 3rd!
I know he was rough today but I think Dibling could do better being on the wing in these situations.

One thing I know about David Moyes is none of this will happen.

I think a grealish, garner, aznou left side would be effective. Garner can provide cover if aznou is out of place, and aznou can provide pace to compliment grealish when he’s holding the ball up.
I still like O’Brien on the right because he’s so solid in defense, and when ndiaye comes back it’ll look a lot more exciting, and KDH can add more creativity to let Jake hang back more.

Could we at least use 4-1-4-1? It’s very balanced, with Garner and Armstrong helping the striker—and Rohl CDM. Then change back to 4-2-3-1 if our main player comes back???.
4-1-4-1
GKJoran Pickford
CB duo Tarki and O’Brien should have started him or Keane in CB. Why waste him at RB?
RB- AZ “after the performance he had today” give him a chance
LB-Mykonko
RM-dibbing
LM-Mcneil
Duo cm Armstrong and Garner
St-Barry since that’s what David wants
Cdm-Rohl
I know David Moyes doesn’t play any of these formations but I give my best. This tactic is for what we currently have.
Tell me does 4-1-4-1 work for David Motes style???

That second one is something I would love to see attempted maybe not with those exact player but with how solid our cbs are majority of the time I think a back 3 could work. Especially since Branthwaite and O’Brien have a bit of pace with tarks holding down the center. Someone get ahold of one of Moyes coaching staff so he can at least suggest trying it in practice

I liked Aznou today, but there’s zero evidence that he can defend at the Prem level. There’s a lot of evidence that Patto can’t. Hard pass.
