Manchester United are set for a massive boost ahead of the Manchester Derby next weekend as Bryan Mbeumo is returning to the squad.

The Red Devils are currently focusing on their FA Cup clash with Brighton on Sunday, before hosting Manchester City next weekend.

Unfortunately for United, they’ve have had to get by without Mbeumo over the last few weeks, turning instead to Patrick Dorgu as a right-winger.

The attacker has been away with the Cameroon national side since 15th December, competing in the Africa Cup of Nations, but not for long.

Now, after a 2-0 loss to Noussair Mazraoui’s Morocco in the AFCON Quarter-Finals, Mbeumo is heading back to Carrington.

It’s also understood that not only will United have a boost with the return of Mbeumo, but also with a new manager.

The Red Devils are looking to appoint a caretaker manager to be in place to prepare for the Manchester Derby.

Currently, it looks to be either Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or Michael Carrick who get the role until the end of the season when a permanent manager will be announced.

As such, Mbeumo will be returning to a different Carrington he left, looking at settling into a new system away from Amorim’s 3-4-3.
