  1. Interesting..more options can only be a good thing and could Rodri and Phillips stop us being susceptible against counter attacks like in the Spurs / Madrid games ?

  2. Ngl to even think Phillips is better than Rodri would just classify you as complete moron. Rodri is the perfect Pep CDM, he offers everything Busquets does but with a little less skill. Phillips is by no means a technical holding mid, he's more of a destroyer that can press the opp. team higher up the pitch, it would only make sense to play him with a deeper playmaker like Gundogan. Thus dropping Rodri from the hole team all-together, why change something that already works??? To mean the signing doesnt make that much sense, but whatever, would be interesting to see how this one works.

  3. I don’t think he’s going to start but knows he’s going get ample game time just cause of the amount of tournaments they’re going to be in so I think it’s a perfect back up to rodri, plus he’ll be fresh for England in the WC rather than playing every single game for Leeds

  4. CITY, CITY…… the best team in north west and all the world. (Sung to the Vikings movie 1958 theme tune) CTID 😛🤣😝💙👍.

  5. The home grown rule forces City to buy English players. It's the premier league rules that causes City to look at the best players from teams lower down the league. Don't complain, change the rules ! At present we have 6 English internationals in our squad which is good for England.

  6. can see pep starting both rodri & kalvin phillps for big games too add that stability in midfield …KP will get loads of game time with amount of games we play..so hyped for next season .

  7. As a leeds fan im happy for kalvin, hes a top player and i wish him all the luck in the world, pep will get the best out of kalvin and finish of what bielsa saw in him, i think he will play alot more games than what people think. On a side note you have two leeds fans in your squad now haaland and phillips so.maybe when we next play u lot we wont get battered 7-0 🤣🤣

  8. i think the 3-5-2 could be so deadly. Cancelo and hopefully Cucurella bombing down the wings. Phillips and Rodri in front of our 3 cbs holding it down. and ideally kdb foden and haaland a front 3. would be so cool and fun to watch

  9. With the five sub pep is going to surprise everyone and he said it at the end of the season .quote pep said it’s going to be five sub so you wait and see

  10. Haaland alvarez and philips cos us nothing if you look at net ppl still saying we are splashing th cash but dont seem to realise we are offloading absolute muppets

  11. I think it’s a poor move for him. I like Phillips but he isn’t as good as rodri who for me is best cdm in the world. I don’t see him playing regularly enough. But maybe he is happy with that

  12. He won't fit in at all. Just a disgusting club who can't even fill their own stadium using money from a piece of muck government to ruin the greatest league in the world.

  13. Against more attacking sides the last formation is much better with 3-4-3 formation using more DM and cucurella and cancelo providing more attacking threats than defensive involvements. For more devensive teams which is mostly the case against almost 18 teams in EPL should play the usual 4-3-3 attacking constantly which worked last season as Haaland would guarantee more goals playing in the opposition box and constant crosses throughout the game as he has good conversation ratio as compared to last seasons players who played in the false 9 position like Sterling, Jesus and so on!! With the amount of chances created by the midfielders and 2 wing backs constantly throughout the game Haaland will be feasting if he's not injured often!

  14. Sterling didn't miss those many chances inside the box that would have been great this season as Sterling would be playing regularly on the left flank cementing his position and it would be great with his pace specially in counter-attacking scenarios with Haaland feasting in the box and Sterling out wide playing more as a provider rather than how he played more in the box missing so many clear cut chances. This year Haaland is occupying that spot limiting Sterling missing chances in the box and being more of a pacy provider. Hope Sterling extends his contract given the ultimatum to sign it in a weeks time and if he refuses, sell him for £60-£70m to top European clubs as he is so very young 27 with loads of experience in a winning team and still a top player if he doesn't play as a false 9.

  15. Phillips won’t make citys best 11 simple as 🤷 I never want to see Phillips as an 8 when we have Bernardo, gundo, foden, kdb, mcatee etc

  16. Phillips will be very invaluable in the coming Premier League campaign! Along with Manchester City's domestic Cup runs in the Carabao & FA Cups. But I think he also gives Pep the option of playing 2 DM's in nip & tuck Champions League ties! Where City can dominate the ball, and ride out close games, against elite competition. Kalvin may also emerge as a leader for Man City. Great addition to the club! C'mon CI-TEH!!!🙌💙
