After Lennart Karl's statement about wanting to join Real Madrid, Bayern fans have completely lost it in his Instagram comments. Absolute madness.

I actually agree with the backlash. It was extremely insensitive thing to say.

Hope you learned your lesson, Karl. Same crowd that applauded your coronation is gonna cheer at your beheading.

I mean… have eyes for someone else? Leave. It’s a story told many times before – they always fail elsewhere

  3. Madness? Pretty justified reaction after making such disrespectful comments at a fan event. I feel sorry for those fans who took time out of their day to support the club just for them to hear comments like that. Embarrassing from Karl, the club should not allow him to attend fan events like that going forward.

i‘m not saying this is right in any way, but this is a 100% expected reaction. next weeks will be tough for trainer, staff & co. everyone will be asked about this and such a stupid thing to say will give everyone a headache

he is 17 y.o. everybody can make mistake in this age. yeah its unmature but let it be. he will be taught from his manager and Parents so

He’s just a kid but being in the first team he should know better than to say things like that

  7. what he said is dumb and will ruin his reputation among his own fans, as well as his teammates. I get he’s a child and probably doesn’t know how big saying such a thing is, but there should be a minimum of knowledge

I can see the ultras making some sort of banner stating how someone shouldn’t be this short sighted in the near future.

    And I’d 100% support it.

You need us, way more than we need you.

It’s a stab in the heart. I also don’t really mind any other club but it had to be Madrid

  10. He’s about to be 18 years old next month, he should know better if he had a little bit of common sense

  11. It’s like saying you want to go join the rival’s team, sure Bayern and Madrid aren’t directly rivals but you pretty much could say they are considering there many champions league matches against each other which have led to many controversies, but just saying you’d rather be in another club other than your current is js sad

  12. Hardly a surprising reaction, hopefully the team will meet with him and they will discuss things (and preferably get him some PR training).

I do think its an overreaction to want him gone over this, hes young and has a alot to learn so hopefully this will be a learning experience.

  13. Look, I am not a fan of his comment, but I’d never send hate comments to a teenager unless if it was because said teenager was abusive or a fascist! And in this instance it’s neither!

  14. It’s a surprising amount of hate imo. It’s fun to fantasize about playing at any of the storied clubs. He shouldn’t have said it but I’m surprised how harsh the reaction is to a kid saying something blatantly obvious.

  15. I don’t care how good you are. You don’t say that after the club that gave everything to you took a chance on you. The same club that allowed u to shine. That was a rly dumb thing to say and idk if it’s gunna be the same vibe for him moving forward

  16. People love Madrid for the glory and that’s it. Referee corruption has helped them win trophies for decades. The clubs showed some of their most successful players the back door, Casillas, Ronaldo, Bale, Ramos to name a few. Look at the leaked audio from Perez. Without winning it’s a nothing club, it’s soulless

He’s going to get booed every time he touches the ball now. Poor guy said it innocently even if it was incredibly stupid. He threw out any good will and reputation he had with the fans.

The first match back is gonna be fun lol

he behaved and talk like he was the world cup winner.

He is not aligned with Bayern mission, vision and values, so… He deserves almost every comment that he is having

  19. you all really need to chill. people can have dreams, right? and if his dream is to play for Madrid one day he has every god given right to do so

  20. I don’t promote hate speech, but he literally asked for it when he said his dream is to go to Real Madrid. They are arguably our greatest rivals for the past decade. He humiliated us in front of the whole world and made us look like a feeder club for Real Madrid. I know for a fact that majority of today’s footballers are wishing to join Real Madrid, but no one says it because saying it publicly would be disrespectful towards their current club. He didn’t respect us as fans nor did he respect the club that developed him and gave him chances in the biggest stages of football.

  21. Imo the wording was everything. If he would’ve used his brain just a little, he would’ve said something like: “If we take Bayern out of the equation then I would definitely go to RM”
It’s almost the same thing as he said, but way more thoughtful
