The actual happiness of seeing Keane back makes me realise how far his status at the club has changed.

  2. Up to three (maybe 4 if you count Patterson) decent subs!

Also I’m terrified Dibling was only good because Patterson was behind him and can overlap. I know he’s not the best but at least he tries to be an actual fullback

It really was too much to hope for that he’d name one of our more exciting kids on the bench instead of King, Campbell, Welch taking up 3 spots. c’est la vie

Really can’t argue too much with that. Feel like Grealish is due a good game and hoping Dibling can push on from the Forest game

  5. Was hoping to see Rohl in the starting XI but really can’t complain otherwise with who we have fit and available. Thinking Grealish stays on the left or shifts middle?

  6. Wish they’d stuck to Patterson at right back, but otherwise as i’d hoped for in the circumstances. Gutted, I had tickets for this game with two of my sons, 11 year old is devastated but would have struggled to get there due to the weather and even more of a struggle to get back home if the forecast was correct.

Excited to see Grealish in the middle (assuming that’s where he plays today).

  8. Patterson and Rohl not starting two games in a row after their injury histories is prolly the smart thing.

While Keane has played well this season (and scored some bangers) I still feel like his positioning and choices indirectly make us weaker at the back. I can’t really pinpoint what it is. Just a feeling.

I’d rather have O’Brien as CB and Patterson as RB, even though Patterson sucks. There’s just something intangible about it that makes a difference.

I’m okay with being downvoted for this. I know I don’t have any solid proof for this feeling. And I do hope I’m wrong.

McNeil in the 10 worked well before he got injured under Dyche, I hope he is there and we let Grealish and Dibbling hold down the wings as they dont lose the ball and are progressive, McNeil struggles to be both on the wings IMO.

  11. When we were on the cusp of signing Grealish, all I saw was how wasted he was at City. At Villa he had a free role and played all over the middle.
At Everton he’s definitely had more freedom but still stuck out on the wing and usually just marked out of the game.
I know this theoretically free’s up other players and areas of the pitch. But it would be nice to see him on the ball in the action areas, rather than constantly laying it off because he’s two players in front of him.
