  1. From the article: Rosenior is talented and well-regarded, but his last job in English football ended with the sack at Hull….

Wow, great research. Rosenior did a phenomenal job at Hull City and nobody could believe he got sacked. It was one of the moods of their owner.

It’s Chelsea, they could hire Dave from over the road and somehow someway they will win a trophy.

  3. If they’re turning over the squad like this, an up-and-comer who’s grateful for the opportunity is best.

Well duh. They don’t get to really do anything.

Its an investment company that happens to use football players as a medium..

Potter, Lampard and Meresca aren’t elite coaches. Though the Lampard hype is starting to build again.

Potch really is the only elite coach they hired, and he fell out with the ownership in record time, same with tuchel.

The pattern is set, hire rookie managers but when they get good enough and actually want to be the one doing the managing, they get sacked

  6. I just don’t know why he’s gone. Im not a chelski fan, but seems like he needed another season or two and they were going to win BIG.

The players were speaking highly of him. He seemed brilliant. Da fuck is wrong with chelski?

  7. Maresca wasn’t an elite coach before Chelsea. Chelsea was his first really big job. He managed Leicester beforehand.

So the medical team dictates how many minutes per game a player can have when returning from injury, and Maresca didn’t want to yield this power to him.

I can’t imagine other big managers giving this power up. I think they’d take advice from the medical staff but if they feel they need, say, 10 minutes more than the limit in a particular match, they’d want to be able to do it.

Player safety matters but in this case I would expect the medical staff to be very conservative, probably a little TOO conservative. It’s like getting advice from a lawyer on business: they can advise you about risks but you need a CEO to make the final call.

Is this how it works with the LA Dodgers?

  9. Considering there’s only 1 elite coach on the planet who isn’t employed and he’s not available. I wasn’t expecting them to.
