Well I mean it’s looking like their main competitor for the Title is signing the hottest thing available in Semenyo so.

  2. I’m not really sure why everyone is being shitty about this?

If they can, they absolutely should.

  3. Says basically the same thing every January.

Tldr: Standard non commital manager speak answer about how “if there is an oppurtunity in the market we have to be ready to take it” while not actively saying the club will wont.

    That doesnt get clicks though.

I dont expect Arsenal will sign anyone, not even sure they have the room in the squad for more player registrations. Arsenal have some injuries, no one thinks what theyre going to do with all those players when they return from injury

This is a nothing burger. Injury-riddled squad needs to bring in backups; very normal thing to happen. Read the article before making a dumb comment, please. lol

  5. Watkins, Mateta or any other EPL-ready striker will be very nice. Viktor is quickly fading as a choice, we know how well Jesus can score, Kai will need time to get going. Merino is an option but not the answer. Just don’t bring anyone from the mainland Europe. Pace and strength of EPL defenders will stop them from scoring at prior levels.

Since no one will actually read the article here’s what he says.

We will be actively looking whether or not we are able to do it as another story.

He’s essentially saying that they wouldn’t be doing their job if they didn’t at least look which is true.

  7. It’s hard to see us doing anything in the forward department. We wont sell Martinelli, Trossard or Jesus in January unless a big offer comes in. So unless one of the above has a major injury we won’t be looking for a striker or winger, especially with King Kai on the way back.

Depending on how bad our injuries are we may look for a 3rd choice RB, but after the game Rice had maybe not.

Loans are another story and might suit us better

  8. Genuine question tbf, where would they even need something? Their squad depth is already immense. I understand actively studying the market for opportunities, but I don’t see many if any weaknesses in their current squad building.

If anything it’s already a bit bloated. This feels like the year they need to win something big because they’ve got so many quality players that when most players are fit they won’t be starting week in week out that I would expect a few to be angling for more game time when that happens.

Not hating I’m just curious what Arsenal fans think they might need

  9. I listened to the interview… that is defo the headline to get clicks. Unless there are further long term injuries Arsenal will not be signing anyone in January.
