A lot of these are wingers or attacking midfielders?
Mauro Zarate? Bowen? Cornet? Not to mention Antonio and Arnautovic were signed as wingers that we converted to strikers.
Sullivan’s transfer policy is disastrous but could just be honest about the list and it would be just as embarrassing.

This isn’t exactly right. Pablo Barrera wasn’t a striker. He played on the wing and I think he even played at right back in a game or two. Also, they have Bennie McCarthy and Ilan in one line. Victor Moses wasn’t an out and out center forward either. That doesn’t take away how fucking awful we’ve been with center forwards.
Edit: I literally don’t remember Jaanai Gordon and I’m not sure Sean Maguire ever made a senior appearance for us. Dju didn’t make a senior appearance ever either or Xande Silva.
Edit 2: do we count Cole twice? We signed him twice.

Always thought that Sam Baldock never got a fair shake. Would have liked to have seen more of him before he was shipped off.

I’d argue only Bowen would make a starting 11, if we go by consistency and injury record.

Wow, when you see it written down and realize many are wingers, it’s really a very dire list.

You’re forgetting Joey O’Brien, Darren Randolph and Abdoulaye Faye

Anyone remember that 4 months of victor obina before we sold him? Man was on fire. I never see people mention it when we talk about players who did well for us.

Why is the word *strikers* in inverted commas? Is the person who created this list implying they aren’t?!?

I see eleven signings on here who I would say did okay/worked out to some degree (maybe some more at a push)

This reminds me of that one jersey picture of the Cleveland browns and their quarterback curse

I really wanted Chicharito to become a club legend.

The best out and out striker here is Demba Ba and of course it’s our luck that we got relegated that season and he moved on ASAP.
