I’m finally checked out on Butland. He’s been with us 3 seasons now and I’m sick to death of his mistakes and clangers.
His first season he played a huge part in our title collapse and cost us the cup final.
Last season he was that bad he was dropped for Liam Kelly for a European QF.
This season. He’s at it again. You can acknowledge him making impressive saves in games and also state he just simply isn’t good enough and the clangers are too many. Esp given his weekly wage.
His arrogance is staggering as well. Only 10 weeks ago he was publicly calling out his teammates.
As for the manager. Lots of mitigation will be thrown around because he’s been dropped into managing(imo) our worst ever top flight squad.
That’s 2 big domestic games so far(semi final & today)and his starting lineups have been questionable and his subs have just been outright mental.
I’ve no idea how Max Aarons was considered a better option from RB than Tav and stayed on. Genuinely baffling. Constant tinkering of positions and to me it just looked like throwing shite at the wall to see what sticks.
I’m not being hyperbolic or dramatic but we could genuinely be 0/9 in our next 3 domestic games.

Butland is far from the worst problems with Rangers this season. His best day means nothing if the outfield can’t string passes together let alone score.

He should have saved that second goal but he also saved us twice in the second half with that Shankland 1 on 1 and that header by Frankie Kent, as much as that second goal pissed me off he’s not our biggest problem not by a longshot
You’ve lost all credibility as a poster by saying that Tav is better than playing with 10 men.
Let me say it right now. James Tavernier is absolute shite, is the reason why this club is in decline, should have been let go on a free four years ago, can’t defend, is a pathetic leader, a worse on field decision maker, and your dad drinks diet Irn Bru and orders broccoli with a sausage supper.
Absolutely spot on. Butland was atrocious for that second goal.
Mental to watch that game and think that the problem is the keeper.

Not disagreeing but he is also our best player. Volumes, etc.
He’s overall been a good goalie for us, but he is what he is and there was a reason he was a back up/bit part player for the 5 or so seasons before he signed for us
He’s no use. Can’t be a Rangers goalkeeper when your form is so polar. Has 3 great months and then 5 where he throws in howlers every week. Get him to fuck.
Still haven’t forgave him for jumping out the road of big fish eyes’s “strike”
