  1. Not the best start for both, looking forward to see them in good condition with a team that works well

  2. both quite underwhelming

Chevalier was insane when playing for Lille, but seems completely lost on the field with us, not even knowing where to stand or when to run. Even when passing, which he’s done correctly, I don’t know why it feels like a kid shy-ing because adults are watching him, don’t really know how to explain.

Zabarnyi on the other hand, was sold as a “Marquinhos replacement” that could take his spot this season, but he hasn’t been that good, he feels slow (sometimes makes me remember Skriniar) and don’t even seems to use his golgotha physique.

Not saying they’re shit and they won’t be able to change this, but for now they are nowhere near what I (we?) expected from them. Let’s give them time, I really hope it’s an acclimatation issue to a media-heavy club and not a step that is too high for them

F- for Chevalier and C+ for Zabarnyi. But they’ve only been here four months so there’s plenty of time for them to improve.

  4. Zabarnyi imo still needs time to adjust but he needs to realize he’s not at Bournemouth anymore and here every mistake counts. He started off well with the game vs Barca for example. I think he absolutely has potential to start with Pacho next season.

Chevalier, yeah I wish I could say something good for him but I cannot. They’ll only “forgive” him for so long. He needs to start showing why he cost 50 million otherwise they’ll boot him out in a year and buy another keeper

I’d give chevalier at least a year. He came with a difficult context.
The like on a far right political post didn’t help as well.
I’m sure he will adapt and be a great GK.

    Zabarnyi, I’m not totally convinced.
