  1. Would be surprised if they go with anyone other than Maresca or Kompany, assuming neither have a major falloff before he leaves

  2. His style of football makes sense for City post-Pep, but it’s funny how Chelsea aren’t entirely happy with him but City are still sniffing around. In my view I do think City is too big a step right now, but he also should be viewed fairly favorably at Chelsea, he righted a sinking ship and has them looking like a CL team again at the very least, barring some wobbles here and there.

  3. Rude-Assumption-5720 on

‘If Arsenal got rid of Arteta, every other big club would take him immediately’

  4. It makes sense, he has not being perfect in his time with Chelsea, but he has delivered in important games, i mean he did beat Luis enrique in the CWC the same psg that has defeated bayern and real madrid days before, he won the conference league, and he drop a masterclass vs barcelona. There are not many managers that have been successful internationally in so little time with a fairly young squad.

He is a good coach, surely other big clubs well look for him

  5. Maresca is one of the most talented managers I’ve seen at Chelsea. I know those of you who do not watch every game will not understand but I believe he is the best in the premier league after Pep.

People will say Arteta but I do not believe Arteta is as flexible as him. Arteta is extremely inflexible in my opinion and that shows by how long it took Arsenal to get where they are today.

He has a really really difficult job with Chelsea and he’s making it look easy. I know we’re not winning the league right now but balancing the young squad, injuries, and developing players he is elite. All while setting up the teams extremely well in the biggest games.

Edit: I’m aware this opinion is not “popular” but there is no point saying shit if everyone already thinks this. If I was to bet on one manager having the best career out of managers in the premier league it would be Maresca 1000%. By the end of this season we will need to fight off Madrid and City for him assuming they will be looking for a new manager. Maybe some manager revolving door where Bayern comes for him

  6. And I’ve got a beach front property in London to sell those who believe this

CFCLDN blatant lying is going to catch up to them.

  7. Didn’t Maresca work under Pep, similar to Arteta? Makes sense if it’s the case, has a similar philosophy

  8. So were Amorim and Ten Hag a few years ago, football changes so quickly, and to be honest, I don’t think Pep will leave at the end of the season as people keep mentioning – we hear this practically every year now.
