I feel it’s more due to the lack of chances created for these strikers. It’s no coincidence the only ones that worked were one man battering rams Arnautovic and Antonio where you can hoof the ball to them and they’ll make it work. Even now with Bowen a lot of his goals are shots he creates himself. Very rarely we make well worked team goals happen regardless of who’s coach.

Most were decent to good strikers that absolutely didn’t fit our system. We just plonked them down and hoped they’d do something. Barely even created chances for them.
So that’s more down to recruitment than a curse.
Scamacca was the only one I think could have worked out. Got unlucky with injuries and apparently had a bit of mentality problem I read a while back.
