Fuck Jeff Shi
Jeff’s definitely shot himself in the foot here. Only question is how much do Fosun pay attention to English media? I don’t think fosun plan on selling (annoyingly), so the next best thing would be removing Shi from post and bringing someone in who’ll do a better job – I’m really hoping this bad publicity helps with that
Feel like this was a Prince Andrew level interview for Jeff Shi.
However the issue is that FOSUN are essentially silent owners. I have no doubt that provided Wolves are making a net profit each season, even a nominal one, they have virtually no interest in the club beyond that and are happy to let Jeff Shi continue to rumble on.
To FOSUN, being in Europe, the Premier League or Championship means basically nothing, they’ve already had their ‘prestige’ moment a few years ago where they proved they could buy a medicore club and turn it into a success, now they’ve moved on.
I genuinely don’t see Jeff Shi going until FOSUN do.
I think Shi is only thinking of the money he’ll get for the players good enough to stay top tier when we’re relegated. There’s not an ounce of football synergy in that bloke..
