It’s so stupid how that and the goal are considered two separate phases of play. The only way that gets disallowed for handball is if Areola doesn’t save it and lets the ball go in. So stupid

last week we blamed paqueta’s red card after it was 1-0 down in the 85th minute, this week its their goal which came about due to inviting pressure lmao. lot of focus on everything except whats really throwing away the points, i wonder if the wind is to blame next game?

It isn’t handball because the handball law specifically states that a ball being deflected off your body on to your hand/arm is not handball.
The high boot, yeah, should’ve been called, but tbh, I don’t want to see overhead kicks banned.

Sitting back on a one nil lead against a team the scores very late in pretty much every other game annoys me more.
But glad Mav didn’t go down, even though it would have probably caused the ref to blow up. Remember Soucek’s diving save against Chelsea (I think) no pen there.
