Wish they brought Guehi in and let him rot on the bench because Liverpool should be making an example of players who dont sign in there last 2 years of the their contract. Any player who wants out should get out asap.
Konate’s on the way out for sure. But if it means we can get Guehi in around the same salary structure, then it’s more than worth it imo. Geuhi’s leadership attributes and defensive acumen make him a natural long term partner and eventual successor to VVD in the future.
Konate can go if he wants and we will get Guehi so exchange is not rubbery give Gomez and Leoni more playing time this season.

Doesn't really matter if we get Guehi, that's why we made it clear we wanted Marc this summer, even though we didn't need him until next summer.
I think if Konate's performance drops like against Bournemouth frequently then we need to consider Gomez/Leoni starting until next summer.
Issue has always been with Ibou is he can be rattled in topsy turvy games, this becomes more apparent when Virgil isn't next to him. While Marc isn't as tall, we probably need a leader more than an Ariel duel merchant.
If Konate plays like did against Arsenal then we've got nothing to worry about this season.
I think LFC values him at a certain level (which is fairly high tbh) and I reckon the fans do too, but maybe Ibou thinks that value is higher than it is.
If he has to play a load of games without Virgil and plays brilliantly, the club will break the bank to sign him up for longer and then it'll be obvious whether he's already made his mind up or not.

Konate is citing Mbappe and Real Madrid to push for a higher wages to "see" if Liverpool is genuinely interested in him staying. But if he keep pushing up news such as this, I doubt Liverpool will buy into his bullshit. Liverpool had survived without injured VVD and qualified for UCL (didn't sack Klopp too). I am sure Liverpool can continue to live long after he joins Real Madrid.
