One of Xavi Simons’ best performances for Tottenham thus far came at St James Park and he has to be trusted in the 10 position tomorrow. Spurs must be brave and try and play through Newcastle’s intense press and their compact mid-block. Simons’ ability to pick up space between the lines and Romero’s ability to punch the ball to him will be key if Spurs are to compete in this game.

  1. I thought Tel looked sharp when he came on, love his passion. I would like to see him get a start vs Brentford, even off the left would be a better option than Johnson. Anyways great point away at Newcastle, win vs Brentford and things are looking more positive.
